Ballade Arts Music Academy
Where student success is our priority.
Hi! My name is Faith Collins.
I’ve been teaching piano for 10 years and am currently pursuing my Bachelors in Music. Based in the Copley/Fairlawn area, I’ve been playing piano since I was 10 years old. I still remember teaching my friends what I learned in my lessons. Back then, they’d pay me in snacks!
I began studying under my pastor’s wife and now continue my training with Mayumi Kikuchi at the University of Akron. I have two wonderful kids, and outside of music, I love spending time with my family at church on Sundays.
I specialize in classical music and in helping beginners build a strong foundation and develop a love for playing piano.

Teaching Philosophy
Music is for everyone
Throughout my years of teaching, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of students; young and old, beginners and advanced, and even those with unique challenges such as visual impairments. These experiences have strengthened my belief that music truly is for everyone. It’s meant to be learned, loved, and shared. My goal as a teacher is to help each student discover their own connection to music and inspire a lifelong love for it.
Learning music is a long-term process
True musical growth doesn’t come from copying a YouTube video. It comes from consistent, personalized instruction. One-on-one lessons provide the structure, feedback, and repetition needed to build real skill and confidence at the piano. Developing musicianship takes time, dedication, and guidance. With my background in music education, I’m committed to helping each student reach their full potential and truly enjoy the process of learning.
Setting Goals and Performing Opportunities
I believe that music is meant to be shared. As a teacher, my goal is to provide every student with opportunities to perform and express themselves through music. Performing not only inspires and motivates, it helps students set tangible goals and experience the joy of progress.
Whether it’s preparing for a recital, participating in a competition, or learning a favorite new piece, each milestone builds confidence and skill. There’s nothing quite like the moment when a student finally masters a challenging section they’ve worked on for weeks. It’s a reminder that with patience and practice, even the most difficult things become achievable and deeply rewarding.
